“ Glad we paid no attention to....“You can’t go home again” or we would have missed this exemplary lunch experience! Homer has risen the bar with “The Exchange” and I was proud to return with friends after being away for almost 40 years... Fabulous cosmopolitan atmosphere, impeccable service and fresh, copious portioned dishes with an upscale presentation......we were impressed beyond expectations! My filthy dirty martini was “perfection”....ice cold glass and to the rim!!!! Get off the main road and take a side bar...you’ll be glad you did!! ”
“ Really nice restaurant in this quaint and charming small town packed with a ton of history. We had calamari and mushrooms for an appetizer. I had a wedge salad and my friend enjoyed a GF sandwich. Nice place to sit for a few hours over a meal and chilled wine. Staff very nice and friendly. You can see the menu has many items and they even let you 'make your own salad menu' - pretty sweet. ”
“ First time here and the impression was fantastic. Beautiful historic building that used to be a mercantile building in the 1800's. The interior is a mixture of modern and 20's era aesthetic. Upon entry was immediately greeted by an amazingly friendly hostess. The whole staff had the same level of friendliness and attentiveness so all the service was great. The food menu was very high quality and eclectic. I love how the menu appeals to any budget and taste offering quality options at every level. I will definitely be back. ”
“ This place is an absolute gem hiding out in Homer, NY. Every time I've stopped in, the staff has been friendly and eager to please. I usually end up ordering brunch off of the breakfast menu, though their lunch and dinner offerings look equally appealing. I love the fresh, clean, and modern interior and atmosphere. Don't forget to hit up the bakery in the back on your way out! ”
“ If you haven’t visited The Exchange yet, get yourself there now! The food is excellent, the ambiance is delightful, and the service is very good. I only have the service 4 stars because our server did not ask if we wanted coffee with dessert and gave us our bill before dessert arrived. Not a big deal by any means, but I probably would have ordered coffee with my AMAZING CHOCOLATE TORTE if they had asked me. Once I realized I wanted it I was already halfway through and figured it was a bit late to add that after paying the bill. Otherwise, I will be going again soon to enjoy their amazing food and wine! ”

The food is innovative, high quality, delicious, and beautifully presented. Service is stellar. Thoughtfully designed, you can have a conversation in a full restaurant and hear each other. You can see (and taste!) the care that goes into every facet of the restaurant and staff. Just go! ”
“ We recently moved back to town after a few years away, and The Exchange is a “new to us” and pleasant surprise restaurant. The Exchange is a rustic chic gem amidst the dingy cny restaurant scene and a true date night/special occasion destination. Megan was incredibly warm and welcoming as soon as we walked in the door, setting a lovely tone for the rest of the evening. Leighann was our server, so kind, understanding and very personable. Leighann provided exactly the service you want during a date- well versed on the menu to guide us first timers through the meal with ease, connected with us on a personal level, and didn’t hover or try to be pushy. Jamie, the general manager, was super accommodating with an enthusiastic energy towards providing next level service. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was wonderful. Service was outstanding. We will most certainly be back, you should definitely put this place on your radar and in your go-to date night line up! ”
“ Finding vegetarian meals was easy. Loved the African peanut soup, beet salad, and 40 layer crepe cake. Can't beat the wonderful service. They also have a bakery, so look for any bakery items on the menu. ”
